Insertion rubber, also known as cloth-inserted rubber or fabric-reinforced rubber, is a type of rubber material that incorporates a reinforcing fabric or cloth within the rubber matrix during the manufacturing process. Generally our insertion rubber is nylon reinforced rubber. Nylon reinforcement provides added strength, durability, and dimensional stability to the rubber, making it suitable for various industrial applications. Insertion rubber can be supplied as Full Roll, Custom Cut Sheet, flange gasket, Ring gasket, Custom Gasket, rubber strips, Blocks, washers.
- Composition: Insertion rubber typically consists of a base rubber compound, such as natural rubber (NR) or synthetic rubber (e.g., neoprene, EPDM, nitrile, etc.), reinforced with one or more layers of fabric or cloth. The fabric is usually made of materials like cotton, polyester, nylon, or a blend of these fibers.
- Properties:
- > Strength and Durability: The fabric reinforcement enhances the tensile strength, tear resistance, and overall durability of the rubber material.
- > Dimensional Stability: Insertion rubber exhibits improved dimensional stability compared to plain rubber sheets, making it less prone to stretching or warping under load or temperature variations.
- > Abrasion Resistance: The fabric layer provides additional resistance to abrasion, making insertion rubber suitable for applications subjected to wear and friction.
- > Flexibility: Despite the reinforcement, insertion rubber remains flexible and pliable, allowing it to conform to various shapes and contours.
- Applications:
- > Gaskets and Seals: Insertion rubber is commonly used in the fabrication of gaskets, seals for sealing applications in machinery, automotive, plumbing, and other industries.
- > Conveyor Belts: It is utilized in the manufacture of conveyor belts for material handling systems in industries such as mining, agriculture, and manufacturing.
- > Expansion Joints: Insertion rubber is employed in expansion joints and flexible connectors to accommodate movement and vibration in piping systems and structural elements.
- > Industrial Padding: Due to its cushioning properties, insertion rubber finds use in industrial padding, shock absorption pads, and vibration dampeners.
We have a range of different types of insertion rubber available such as SBR Insertion, Nitrile Insertion rubber, EPDM Insertion rubber, Neoprene Insertion rubber. All Insertion rubbers have different properties and different application. They are available in different thickness 1.5, 3.0, 4.5, 6.0,8.0,10 mm.
