Filter Foam is a specialized material designed to allow water and air to pass through while capturing small particles such as dust and debris.
It finds various applications including air and water filtration, intake vents for air conditioners and heating systems, household appliances like dryers and vacuum cleaners, aquatic setups like fish tanks and ponds, as well as in audio equipment and vehicles such as caravans, 4x4s, and boats.
It is a reticulated open-cell polyether urethane foam with a distinct three-dimensional, uniform open structure. When used as a filter, it can be cleaned either by reverse flushing with water or by vacuuming. For deeper cleaning, immersion in hot water with mild detergent effectively removes oil and trapped particles.
It will not rot or decompose under conditions of normal use and is not adversely affected by hot or cold water or with exposure to warm, humid conditions. The coarse open cell structure enhances drainage and air circulation characteristics.
