Industrial Gaskets and Sealing Solutions Australia
“Price Beat Guarantee”
Australia's Trusted Gasket Manufacturer and Distributor
Industrial Expert is a family-owned Australian gasket manufacturer based in Truganina, Melbourne. We've spent over 20 years building a business around one idea: make quality gaskets, deliver them fast, and stand behind every product. As an industrial seals and gaskets supplier, our range covers 50+ gasket types across 15+ material categories, including rubber gaskets, paper gaskets, PTFE, compressed fibre, graphite, cork, and metallic, rated for temperatures from -260°C to +1000°C and pressures up to 250 bar.
Everything happens under one roof. Our factory runs in-house CNC cutting, milling, die cutting, and 3D printing, so we control quality from raw material selection through to the finished gasket sitting on your dispatch pallet. Whether it's a single emergency replacement or a bulk run for a new pipeline, the process is the same.
We stock materials compliant with AS/NZS, FDA, ASME, and API standards, and we ship Australia-wide with same-day dispatch on stock items. We also distribute branded gasket products from Garlock, Ferolite, and GYLON, so you get both our locally made gaskets and trusted international brands from one supplier. If you're not sure what you need, our team will help you work it out before you place an order.
Types of Industrial Gaskets We Manufacture
We group our gaskets into 5 main categories. Each one is built for different pressures, temperatures, and flange setups, so finding the right fit starts here.

Full Face Gaskets
These cover the entire flange surface, bolt holes included. They spread sealing pressure evenly across flat face (FF) connections and work well for low to medium pressure. We stock them in EPDM, nitrile, neoprene, silicone, PTFE, fibre, Viton, Garlock, modified PTFE and graphite, from DN15 to DN1200 across AS2129, AS4087, BS3063, and ASME/ANSI standards.

Ring Face Gaskets
Ring face gaskets sit inside the bolt circle and seal only the inner portion of the flange, leaving the bolt holes uncovered. They suit low to medium pressure systems carrying non-aggressive media like water, air, oil, or gas. We make them in the same material range as our full face gaskets.

Metallic Gaskets
When conditions get extreme, metallic gaskets step in. Spiral wound, metal jacketed, RTJ, and kammprofile types handle temperatures above 450°C and pressures past 100 bar. These are the standard in refineries, power stations, and petrochemical plants across Australia.

Custom Shape Gaskets
If a standard size won't work, we'll make one that does. Send us a drawing, CAD file, or even a worn-out sample, and our CNC machines cut it to ±0.1mm in thicknesses from 0.5mm to 50mm, up to 1600mm diameter. Don't have a drawing? Our team creates CAD designs from your sketch or sample, then cuts the gasket from the approved file.

Seals, O-Rings & Specialist Products
Beyond gaskets, we carry a full range of static sealing products. O-rings are the most common industrial seal, and we stock them in nitrile, Viton, silicone, FFKM, and FEPM for valve seats, cylinders, and equipment housings. We also supply gland packing, ePTFE joint sealant, flange insulation kits, pipe welding purge kits, engineering plastics, adhesive foam tape, and the full Garlock range.

Picking the right gasket material comes down to 4 things: temperature range, pressure rating, chemical exposure, and application type. Get it wrong and you're looking at premature failure and unplanned downtime. Here's a quick comparison of the 7 materials we work with most.
| Material | Temp Range | Pressure | Chemical Resistance | Best Applications |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EPDM Rubber | -30°C to 100°C | Up to 10 bar | Water, steam, mild acids, alkalis | Water systems, HVAC, steam lines |
| Nitrile (NBR) | -25°C to +100°C | Up to 10 bar | Oils, fuels, hydraulic fluids | Automotive, hydraulics, fuel systems |
| Neoprene | -30°C to 90°C | Up to 10 bar | Oils, weathering, ozone | General-purpose, outdoor, refrigeration |
| Silicone | -50°C to 200°C | Up to 7 bar | Food safe, UV resistant | Food processing, medical, high temp |
| Viton (FKM) | -25°C to 200°C | Up to 10 bar | Fuels, acids, solvents | Chemical processing, aerospace |
| PTFE / Teflon | -200°C to +260°C | Up to 40 bar | Almost all chemicals | Pharmaceutical, chemical, food |
| Graphite | -200°C to +450°C | Up to 250 bar | Steam, hydrocarbons | Refineries, boilers, exhaust systems |
EPDM is the most specified gasket material for Australian water infrastructure because it meets AS 4020 for potable water contact. Nitrile dominates fuel and oil applications. PTFE is the default for pharmaceutical and chemical plants that need broad chemical resistance. For the high-temperature, high-pressure end of the spectrum (refineries, boilers, superheated steam lines), graphite and spiral wound gaskets are where we point most customers.
We also stock these materials as raw sheets for your own fabrication. Our industrial rubber sheeting comes in 10+ compounds from 1mm to 50mm thick, and our adhesive foam tape range covers PVC, EVA, EPDM, and neoprene for sealing and insulation work.
